Happy June, Happy Me

Ok I lied. I'm going to blog cos I'm freaking bored and it's 311am.

So for the past few days, there wasn't any interesting things that happened except for that night when a bat flew into my house. I'm guessing that no one is going to believe what I've said, cos usually the things that fly into your house are insects like bees, moths, flies.... You get my point.

Initially I couldn't believe that it was a bat too cos I thought bats only flew around in the forests/jungles and love hiding in trees/dark places.
But then on this faithful night, a bat decided to fly into my house and I was fucking terrified. I was casually talking to my brother when this big black thing flew right into the ground and crashed. I started screaming and my bro screamed as well too la, cos initially he thought it was a huge flying cockroach (both of us are afraid of cockroaches, especially those that fly)
So we ran to the front door and stood beside the shoe cabinet, watching the bat banging into everything in the living room - from the floor to the kitchen to the window (and the funny part  is that it didn't attempt to freaking fly out even though the windows were wide opened zzz it just kept banging at the window grills) and finally to the curtains.
At that moment all I really wanted was to get out of my house and call a pest control or something. However, my bro refused to and instead said that he would 'settle' it.

My brother took away the clothes hanger near the curtains and pulled the curtains away. For 15 minutes, my brother tried different methods to provoke the bat so that it would fly out. He tried to roll the receipt into a ball and throw it at the bat but then he kept missing the shots. He then used an umbrella to touch the bat but it just moved its limbs a little and didn't bother to move anymore.

Ok so basically after trying for 15 minutes my bro concluded that the bat was actually asleep (absolute wtf IKR) and  he decided to use a plastic bag and carry it to the window to let it fly out. I actually suggested my bro to take the insect repellent and spray the bat to death but then my bro said that 1) it might not die and 2) he doesn't want to kill the bat. 

And while I was peacefully scrolling through instagram... My bro took the bat and let it fly out of our window. 

ABSOLUTE WOW PLEASE. 

I have zero idea how my bro managed to muster such courage to even touch the bat!!??!!  but anyway I really really admire him now he's no longer that timid bro of mine that's afraid of any flying objects heeeeheeeee 

SO GIRLS IF Y'ALL WANNA DATE HIM PLS DO SO he's a rare guy (no joke) and he's absolutely caring + loyal so don't worry that he'll be going out there flirting with them girls LOL 

Other than that.... Just a throwback to last week, I went out with fatty neo to dine at Strangers' Reunion!

Many people have been raving about Strangers' Reunion, so fatty and I decided to try them out!
Honestly speaking, both of us didn't research much about it before going there except to check its location and finding ways to go there. We didn't know what was highly recommended there so we simply ordered whatever that sounded good!
Jiahui's main consisted of Eggs Benedict and Raw Salmon topped on French Toast (if I'm not wrong) with some dressing on the top and veggies at the side. For my main, I had their homemade waffles topped with maple syrup and some fruits! (ps they were all my favourite fruits you guys had no idea how happy I was when I saw those fruits HAHAH)
We also ordered truffle fries cos Jiahui was craving for it and we were afraid that we would still be hungry.
However, after finishing our own dish, we realised that we were too full to continue with the fries and only managed to finish 1/2 of them..... what a waste of food LOL

I would give Stranger's Reunion an 8/10??? Cos firstly it's actually quite hard to locate (maybe cos jh and I are not street wise) and tbh the food is quite pricey too (but then to think of it again the ambience and service is actually pretty good!) The food is also damn nice la so I think that you guys  can give it a try! Take the remaining time in this June holidays to savour all the good food before all the torturing begins hehe.

We then proceeded to take our ootd shots which was actually kind of fail cos...... we're just not model-ish enough HAHA. But then if you walk around that area,  there's actually many nice backgrounds for taking your ootd shots! So yes if you think you have the x factor to take a nice ootd shot yes pls do go ahead and take your pictures there HAHAHA

We went shopping at F21 before deciding to catch The Lion Men: Ultimate Showdown at Cineleisure! We bought our drinks at Smoothie King before entering too and if you actually present your movie tickets to the cashier there, you would be able to receive a $2 off your drinks!! So worth it YAY 

The next day, I went out with Jh again (yes we meet each other almost everyday because we love each other so much JUST KIDDING) to study. Tried out the new Strawberry Cheesecake at Starbucks and I didn't really like it. Though it looks really pretty I feel that the drink tastes pretty normal....?

Yes it really does looks very pretty the colour, the topping and whip cream makes the drink looks so appetizing but well 

Never judge a book by its cover 

Didn't manage to do much at Starbucks because we spent around an hour trying to get decent seats and settle down. Also I was distracted most of the time, trying to sing to Jh  and people-watching............ 

There were also  a ton of WRS (or even ex-WRS) people over at Sbux! It felt like a mini reunion, just that everyone was with their own cliques haahhah 

Around 7+, I accompanied Jh to purchase tickets for blended cos she wanted to watch the movie with Shawnald. I then went home afterwards to pack my belongings and headed over to my cousin's house for a stayover! 

Ok so the main reason why I went over was because I had to work during the weekends at a hotel in the kitchen and we had to work from 11am-1130pm everyday so why not just stay over at my cousin's house since it would be more convenient for the both of us? 

I must say that work was indeed  tiring, considering that both of us only slept for 4h everyday cos we both insisted on watching a movie every night after work so as to spend some time together. We  ended. up sleeping at 4-5am everyday and wake up at 830am for work.

I actually enjoy working here! The people here are very nice and the work load isn't too hard for us newbies to handle. The head chef is extremely nice (even nicer than some of the other chefs yo) and often give newbies like us easier stuffs to do, like adding garnishes onto the dishes.
Our main job is to prepare the food for wedding dinners/any other sort of dinners and portion them out evenly for each individual. However, we have to rush a little because the food has to be served hot/warm so the food must be cooked/prepared slightly 10 minutes before serving. Between the time when we don't have to prepare the food/guests have other events going on, we basically just laze around in the kitchen... And eat the food. I SWEAR THE FOOD THERE TASTES AWESOME and I heard from some of my other workmates that this hotel is actually a 5-star hotel! 

Really hope to work again next Saturday because the pay is quite good and the people there are really nice. :) 

Went to grab some food after our final day of work on Sunday with Fayette. Bought the Tiramisu frap from Starbucks and I must say I really love this flavour! It's rather sweet but yet it has this cake and coffee taste together, which makes it taste really nice.

After working my guts out in the weekends, I headed over to Malaysia with my grandmother, aunts, cousins and uncle! Went crazy shopping with them even though I told myself to limit my spendings but HAHAHAH HOW IS IT POSSIBLE

After our shopping, we decided to have coffee/tea break over at Sbux! (Sbux all day err night)

Look at the amount of money spent at Sbux.... INSANE COFFEE LOVERS.

Spent around an hour or so just casually chatting with my grandmother, aunts, uncle and cousins! It was so much fun, laughing at my other uncle who wasn't present and all the other jokes. All of us laughed till we cry and my aunt (Fayette's mum) laughed till she couldn't breathe and her face went freaking red omg

We then continued with shopping and proceeded to dinner! Had Japanese food for dinner and it was so-so only..... Saw some students studying over at the restaurant too LOL 

Decided to leave City Square around 10pm! Here's a selfie of all of us (and random stranger on the top right corner looking out of the window) in the AC7 bus :) Take a closer look in this picture and you'll realise that the only person that doesn't have an eyebag is my Popo. HAHAHA OK LOL

Over the weekends while I was working, I also got my bro to help me buy a laptop at the IT Fair..... And he help me chose this chio black Acer laptop which is really slim and fast!!

AHHHH IM SO FUCKING HAPPY!!! Finally a new laptop after 5 years :') My previous laptop was a VAIO and I bought it during P6 cos VAIO used to be the in thing for people who like chio yet not really good laptops. However it became super duper lag over the years and my laptop also has some virus which I can't be bothered to deal with. The battery was spoilt as well and its longest battery life is actually only 20minutes HOW PATHETIC.

I BOUGHT TICKETS TO CATCH 1 DIRECTION IN SINGAPORE IN MARCH 2015!!!!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must admit that I only started to become a directioner after watching their movie (This Is Us) last year and it's pretty weird of me to buy their tickets when I should've bought tickets to Justin Bieber's concerts instead (Belieber since P6 yo) BUT I'M STILL SO FREAKING EXCITED LA this will be the first ever gig I'm attending in my 16 years of life!!!!!!!!

It's still so long from now but aiya whatever

Overspent like mad this month but still, no ragrets! I'm currently working really hard for da moolah as and when I can. Hope to save up at least enough to pay my concert tix and half of the price of my shoes... :'( 

(ps guys I pay for most of my stuffs, like clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, concert tix..... cos I work part time sometimes and my parents only give me sufficient or sometimes additional money for food!) 

Alright it's freaking 442am and I have to wake at 12pm later to meet my cousins to watch TFIOS!! Yes it's that overrated movie and I've still yet to read the book BUT WHATEVER
